These references show that the
contention of the Chief Justice is opposed to the establish-
-ed custom and usage of this Colony, and I submit that it
is contrary to the principles of British Administration
that the Chief Justice should control the Executive and
Administrative work of the Registrar, though he should
of course have full control of that portion of his work
which is dependent upon the instructions of the Supreme
Court.
